Ryan Neal: Defying Limits, Crafting Motown Bounce

Raised just outside Detroit, Ryan Neal is a genre-bending singer-songwriter, producer, and performer who’s turned adversity into artistry. A brain tumor survivor who also lives with significant hearing loss, Ryan isn’t just creating music — he’s breaking barriers with every note. His signature style, dubbed Motown Bounce, blends the warmth of ‘60s/‘70s soul with punchy modern production, fusing funk, hip-hop, and pop into something unmistakably fresh yet familiar.

Ryan first caught national attention when a TV executive discovered his soulful Donny Hathaway cover on Instagram, landing him a spot on ABC’s The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart. Praise from artists like Toni Braxton, Jason Mraz, and Kesha followed, expanding his reach to a devoted new fanbase.

Since then, he's headlined stages like Electric Forest and brought his unmistakable energy to corporate events, weddings, and boutique hotels across the country — not only as a performer, but also as a DJ, producer, and content creator. Most recently, he took the stage as a keynote speaker and performer at the American Brain Tumor Association’s national conference, using his story and sound to inspire and connect.

Now based in Nashville, Ryan continues to produce, write, and perform music that moves the body and the heart. With new releases, sync licensing placements, and creative collaborations in motion, 2025 is shaping up to be his biggest year yet — and he's just getting started.
